Rail bike routes in the Vendée
AN OUTING ON A RAILWAY BIKE
The Vélo Rail in Commequiers is perfect for kids but also for adults. In a group of two, three or more, travail along 14 kilometres of railway tracks, from Commequiers to Coëx, on a 2 hour ride.
The railway bike is propelled forward by the strength of two of the passengers’ legs. They can carry up to 5 people (including a child under 12). The pricing is per bike, no matter how many passengers you have!
Don’t forget your trainers (better for pedalling), a hat, sunscreen and bottles of water for an enjoyable outing.

You are asked to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time. Free parking is available across from the Vélo Rail.
For safety reasons, doggy companions are not allowed on board the railway bikes.

Along the way, you will discover the inland portion of the Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie region, and you will also pass by the old train station in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and cross a viaduct over the Vie River, made up of ramparts with rivets like the Eiffel Tower.
This route is great to enjoy the charms of our wooded countryside as a family, with a positive atmosphere throughout your excursion.
